Dulture weekly mix
I feel like with every week I flip flop between something crazy/fast paced (last week’s Fred Durst fest) to something with a late night driving vibe.
This week is the late night driving vibe. Something came up in my Spotify listening this week that triggered this playlist so you’re getting all female 90’s RnB.
Also if this wasn’t your era, you’re in for a moody vibe. Grab that glass of whatever you’re drinking, kick back and just… yes I realize you could easily be reading this at like 7 in the morning and you have to go to work lol.
Listen to this on your commute to work. Or tonight. Or whenever!
Your K-Cup Has Been Sitting in a Warehouse for Months
That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.
Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.
Mix and match from 50+ specialty coffees, teas, and flavored blends — all Keurig®-compatible — and save more with every box you add, up to 34% off at 12+. Order once whenever you're running low, or subscribe for an extra 5% if that's easier. Entirely up to you.
New customers get 15% off their first order — applied automatically, no code needed.
This is a weird time of year on multiple fronts.
☑ We’re officially in the it’s chilly in the morning, hot in the afternoon type weather.
☑ It’s def darker out than it was last week.
☑ And the U.S. Open winds down this weekend basically marking the end of summer.
For years the U.S. Open has been one of the most culturally relevant sporting events.

Look at them “young” love birds

Only at the U.S. Open…
Celebrities being tennis fans for the day aside, it’s always been the tournament where the players drop the fits.
I don’t know if you realize how easy this could turn into an Andre Agassi tribute.
Naomi Osaka def has used the US Open as her runway through the years.

It’s also been a place where shoes have been debuted - OK OK OK we obviously need to start with Tech Challenge’s.

Agassi at the 1991 U.S Open
👆 Maybe the least popular of the 4, the Tech Challenge IV’s don’t get much love on the interwebs.
👇 These ones came out just before the Open started, Agassi famously wore the hot lava colour way at the 1990 French Open - you know the ones I’m talking about.

The Back to the Future colourway - I rate it
The U.S. Open has had some straight HEAT lately too…right Fat Joe?

Fat Joe goes to the U.S. Open (2024)
Roger Federer rocked these in 2018, like what? I totally forgot about these, they’d work for pickleball right?? So 🔥

Nike Vapour 9.5 Tour’s AJ3 collab
This year Carlos Alcaraz debuted Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack tennis collection featuring the Travis Scott x Cactus Jack x Nike Zoom Vapor 12 HC aka the mouthful shoes - Am I the only one that thinks the backwards swoosh is getting too played out at this point?

So yeah. We look to events like the World Cup and NBA All-Star weekend for shoe releases but now you know, pay closer attention to the U.S. Open.
Also these just released - I’m calling them the Zack Morris 7’s.

AJ7 “Tennis Day’s”
Every Dunk is a 10
I caught the finals while I was in Asia last month and there was no way I wasn’t covering this when I came back.
Dunkman: A league for dunkers by commissioner Shaquille O’Neal.
If you haven’t heard about this league or seen any of the competition do yourself a favour and just fast forward to the dunks below, you won’t be disappointed 👇
Not that it takes much but this league puts the NBA’s All-Star weekend dunk comp to shame.
Every frikken dunk is a 10.
These guys are nuts, the amount of plyometrics they do has gotta be inhuman because they’re jumping around like video game characters doing dunk after dunk we’ve never seen before.
All of these guys would destroy an NBA dunk contest.

High jump over a 6ft bar and then dunk the ball, okay?

Stack people in a BMW and reverse over them, okay?

Staring contest with the rim
The name you want to pay closer attention to is Cam Hazzard. He won the inaugural world championship - dude has a 50’ vertical. He did things you’ve never seen before in a dunk contest and I don’t mean wearing a cape and doing a normal dunk!
Interesting sidebar: Reebok does the uniforms for the Dunkman league. While it just wrapped up a couple weeks ago, the NBA’s regular season starts up in a couple weeks and it’s the first season in many years where you’re going to see guys rocking Reebok’s on the court.
We got the G-Unit re-release a couple weeks ago and now we’ll start to see what Reebok does with the NBA season starting. Maybe we start to see Questions/Answers being rocked on the court.
Which ones should Reebok bring back?
Also Walmart low-key sells Reebok clothes, how crazy would it be if they started competing with the likes of Footlocker for gear.
Snoop is Hiring Again
I swear Snoop Dogg hires for whatever comes to mind.
First it was the blunt roller, which is actually more interesting than it sounds.
Back in 2016 Snoop realized he had no time to roll his own blunts so he put a call out to the world to find a personal blunt roller.
Renegade Piranha ultimately got the job beating out 2 other people in a blunt rolling competition and has been his blunt roller ever since.
As of 2022, Renegade has rolled half a pound a day which equates to 75-150 joints and has rolled over 450K joints total...which obviously is a lot more, probably closer to 600-700K now.
Welp Snoop is hiring again.
This time it’s an ice cream taster.

Alongside his partnership with Deel and his ice cream brand, Dr. Bombay, Snoop is looking to hire someone for 3 months at $10K/month to travel the world and try ice cream everywhere.
The goal is to figure out what the next flavour is gonna be.
You can know nothing about ice cream but if you’re interesting and willing to travel and make some good content, Snoop wants you.
...over 200K have applied to the job so far.
If you’re looking to apply check it out here. GOOOOOD LUCK
Nana Needs to Unbox EVERYTHING
You know what would turn Nike’s stock around IMMEDIATELY?
This sweet old lady:
Nana was originally introduced to all kinds of hiphop artists but this is her first unboxing video and she nailed it.
Nana’s passion, her commitment, her reaction, I honestly want these Westside Gunn Saucony’s now just because of her lol.
I really hope Nana gets a chance to unbox more things for the culture in the future.
