She basically raps over a ton of underground rappers and it shows up in your IG/TikTok algo.
I haven’t heard of most of these artists so for me this is how I’m keeping my ear to the streets. I used to live on DatPiff and listen to underground college radio all the time.
Now I get my music from TikTok creators.

What does too old really mean anymore?
I was listening to a podcast the other day where they were saying anyone over 30 is considered Unc and whether you’re 30 something or 40 something we’re all basically 50 at that point lol.
Firstly you spelled millennial wrong. Secondly it’s “their”.
In my mind I’m still 17 and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is still one of my favourite albums of all time.
It makes me wonder how 56 yr old Jay-Z feels, especially after picking himself to perform in the most culturally relevant halftime show of the year.
My Spotify playlist will go from Yeat and Esdee Kid to Olivia Rodrigo and Malcolm Todd in a heartbeat.
...maybe Jay-Z’s does too? I mean he’s got kids who are of the same age as mine so it’s possible...

Shout out to El Niño because it’s usually mad cold Halloween night on the East Coast and it looks like I’ll be good wearing this costume again.
Also shout out Converse because these shoes 👇 are my go to for cold Halloween nights in costume...and probably what Michael Myers would wear anyway.

A Loss for the Mecca of NBA Half-Time Shows
You know a show is good when you can spend hours only watching clips and you’re just as entertained as when you watch the full thing.
No one would’ve ever predicted that Inside the NBA with Ernie, Kenny, Shaq, and Chuck would go on to be one of those shows.
I remember when they brought Chuck onto the show, it felt like it was finally rounded out. Charles Barkley’s weekly takes were viral soundbites every time, before virality was a thing in the early 2000’s.
When they brought Shaq onto the show, it completely changed its trajectory. The four of them, brothers as Ernie says, have the best chemistry in sports television EVER…and quite possibly in regular television in general.
Which is why it sucks that Ernie announced this season of Inside the NBA will be his last…after THIRTY SEVEN SEASONS.
This has gotta be one of the funniest things to ever happen on live TV
If you’re a sports fan and you DON’T watch Inside the NBA then you know what to do.

Did you watch Obsession? And did you like it?
I reviewed it back when it came out, you’ll have to go scroll through previous issues to find it. TLDR I felt like it was lacking basic filmic components to round out the story.
But I’m a film major so flawed storytelling stands out like a sore thumb for me.
I just developed a newfound respect for Curry Barker though - beyond the fact that he made Obsession for less than $1M and the film grossed over half a billion internationally.
Yes, beyond the hit film he made, my newfound respect is in the horror short Curry Barker just released yesterday.
This was pretty f*cking good for a horror short 👆
I won’t ruin anything for you, it’s only 5 mins long. All you Obsession lovers out there are going to love this.
And if you want something longer, his 2024 film, Milk & Serial is like this Blairwitch Project meets Project X meets Scream vibe - an hour long and pretty damn good!
OVO’s Original 6 Drop
Today at 10AM EST OVO drops their Original 6 collab with the NHL.
Inspired by 90s and early 2000s hockey team gear, the drop focuses on giving you a variety of pieces from each of the original six NHL teams (Toronto, Montreal, Boston, NY, Chicago, Detroit)

If you ask me, the jacket is worth it if you like the team. Otherwise I think the jerseys are the stand out in this drop, even if hockey jerseys aren’t exactly a staple in anyone’s rotation.
