💎 Fancy wearables
👺 Labubu Ladoodoo
Dulture weekly mix
We made it. It’s Friday. First day of Spring. Sunshine…maybe.
We got music - what more could you ask for?
Oh I know - how about DJ Shtoops’ debut track right here. Dude has taught himself how to DJ and how to make tracks all from scratch, somewhat courtesy of Boi 1da, who gave him some of the equipment he’s mixing on.
Fun fact, DJ Shtoops and Boi 1da were childhood best friends - go listen!
“The Biggest Gold Mine in History”
That’s what NVIDIA’s CEO said investors in AI are tapping into. And market experts say it could send stocks for companies that create robots, aka physical AI, soaring on a "multi-year supertrend."

👆👆 👆 Lowkey, investing in a robotics company that flips fries actually sounds fire
It’s a funny thing, this thing called “getting older”.
I hope one day someone invents a time machine where you can go back and talk to your childhood self just so you can say to them, here’s the things I now look forward to.
And then watch them be like, who tf are you mister?
No but honestly, the things we look forward to as an “adult” (I’m still 17 in my mind…have you seen the way I write this thing??) are hilarious if you think about it.
Thing | Kid | Adult |
Sleep | NEVER!! NOT SLEEPING | Get me tf in bed at 9PM |
Food | SUGAR ALL DAY | Bruh, sometimes I just want a salad |
Friends | Cannot wait to see them | Do I really want to go out? |
Satuday Mornings | All the shows are on! | Finally some time to wash the car |
Summer Vacation | FINALLY!!!! | FINALLY!!!!!!!!! (lol) |
Let’s face it, we all eventually go from popping bottles til 3AM to waking up early on a Sunday morning to enjoy the morning sun - who are we??
Not my wife though - if you let her, she’ll sleep in til 1PM like she’s in grade 11 on summer holidays.
The one thing I’ve learned in “growing up” is you gotta love the things you love man. If you love Pokémon cards then you do you LOGAN PAUL.
If love skateboarding, go skate (and watch ur damn self, you’re not young anymore!)
And if you love shoes, firstly you’re in the right place. Secondly, you probably look forward to Air Max Day like I do every year.
As expected every year, this year’s AM Day line up is a mixed bag of stuff - a new AM silhouette alongside some revamped oldies.
Typically I don’t pay as much attention to the new silhouettes although I’m a big fan of the 270’s when they came out and the DN’s last year took a minute to grow on me but I find them mad slick now.
This year we’re getting:
AM 95 OG Big bubble (Volt & University Red)

These are already out on Nike.com, tons of sizes too
AM 95 OG Big bubble (pink foam)

These are a women’s shoe
AM 90 (Infrared 3M)

Easily a top 3 shoe of all time for me
And then the new silhouette…
Air Liquid Max (Black Green)

I don’t know about these - I’d have to see them in person
BONUS!! Patta is coming out with some fire AM1’s this month too - Patta never fails.

Happy early Air Max Day to all who celebrate.
If you want your grails featured in front of almost 20K people, respond to this email and I’ll throw them up in the next issue.
Yeah, we’re almost at 20,000 subscribers. I have something fun planned for when we hit 20,000 subs and it involves STARTER JACKETS.
Weeknd Getaway in Japan
It’s a funny thing, these artists. One minute all you see is their face and music plastered everywhere, and the next you only get reminded of them when Spotify randomly plays a song.
My fellow Scarborough brethern has been MIA and we know why.
The Weeknd has been spending (spent) a ton of time in Japan and frankly, I get it.
C’mon man, it’s Japan, WE ALL get it.
When I’m in Japan I want you to just leave me tf alone and point me to the nearest Ichiran and retro game store.
Back to the point I made earlier, you gotta love something man and from what he posts on his other IG account, Abel is a massive video game and anime fan.
I gotta think most boys who grew up in the 90’s loved their video games and anime (I didn’t even know I was watching anime back then, it was just cartoons to me).
I think all major stars should have their own Finsta accounts, for exactly this reason:

There’s no way one of the BIGGEST artists ever can walk around Super Nintendo Land freely - but then again, as you’re about to see, dude is a huge video game fan so the DK headwear might have been somewhat by choice as well.
If I’m going to Japan with my best friend from childhood, you better believe we’re playing every shooting game we get our hands on.

And if I’m one of the biggest stars in the world and a closet video game nerd, you better believe I’m getting exclusive access to playing the new Resident Evil game and meeting the people who make games at Capcom.

And of course we’re posing like this
Obviously I’m going to Sega headquarters too.

And PokéPark KANTO just as it opens.

Given Abel has already sampled Japanese city pop in the past, it’s not a matter of when are we gonna hear from The Weeknd again, but rather what are we going to hear?

I won’t be surprised if we get some form of early 2000’s N64 type vibe from The Weeknd the next time we hear something - Y2K and 90’s nostalgia + Japan is so hot right now.

When you come back from Japan: “Why did you leave, you belong there”
Wearables But Make it Jewelry
If you’re ever going to buy me jewelry, just don’t.
(I know, you’re like, who tf is this guy and why am I even subscribed, let alone wanting to buy him anything)
But I don’t mind a good wearable.
You an Apple Watch (or smartwatch) person? I once was, until I didn’t feel like wearing a watch all day while being locked in my house for 3 years because of…I digress.
Companies like Whoop and Oura have basically become household names through the years because of how effective their bio-monitoring (is that a word?) have become.
I mean if this guy wears a Whoop, it must be doing something right…

The thing about wearables though is that they’ve always been more of a sporty looking thing.

Gucci x Oura Ring
Yes yes, there’s been rings that have come out that look more like jewelry and Apple watch bands from luxury makers as well as a few luxury watches but that’s about it.
Samsung is trying to change your perception on what smart devices should really look like altogether.

Designed by Youngha Rho, Minchae Kim, Doa Kim, Si Heon Song, and Seunghee Kim, Samsung Slac is the concept of audio devices that don’t jam into your ear, but are rather meant to look like everyday earrings.
There’s AI built into them that picks up on your daily cycles where it helps adjust ambient noise for you as you listen to something so that you’re aware of your surroundings when you need to be, and can block out noise when necessary as well…so that’s pretty cool.
The obvious reason why the headphones look the way they do is that you can wear them all day without looking like younger Gen Z walking around with their earpods in, not actually listening to something - you know what I’m talking about!

The matching bracelet acts as the connector to the earrings to track your trends and cycle throughout the day so that the earrings pick up on audio levels and what not.
This is all conceptual for now but the reason why Samsung builds and incubates these kinds of ideas is to see how much of it can trickle into their main consumer offerings.
And given Samsung tends to lead innovation when it comes to wearables and phones, something tells me Android users are going to get swagged out a lot sooner than their iOS counterparts.
Labubu’s Last Ditch Effort
We’ve gone from these furry monster things attached to every girl’s hand bag in the world to crickets - no, no, they aren’t attaching crickets to their hand bags hahaha. Can you imagine?
But seriously, has the world moved on from Labubus?
We all know they exploded and the founder of PopMart became a billionaire and blah blah blah last year. So what’s good now?

While Labubu remains the #2 toy in global collector retention according to the 2026 Global Designer Toy Index, a combination of share buybacks at PopMart and stock drops of 30-40% ain’t a great sign.
PopMart has been pushing new characters.
Guys, if you’re looking to get your significant other one of these PopMart things, the new popular ones in China right now are Crybaby and Twinkle Twinkle.

PopMart is banking on these things having similar Labubu success - where’s LISA when you need her??
While PopMart continues to open stores and launch new toys, let’s be honest, when you stop seeing these things in mainstream media or people walking around with them (I literally saw one on the ground in a parking lot yesterday), you gotta think the writing is on the wall.
So what do you do when you think the fire might be fizzling out?
You make a movie of course!

No word on timeline or anything with this movie yet.
But dawg, this sh*t won’t even be relevant by the time it comes out, if it even ends up coming out.
